The Smart Cabinet Building initiative launched by the partners Weidmüller, Komax, Zuken, and Armbruster Engineering has been awarded the INNOVATION AWARD 2021 by a jury appointed by the German trade journal SCHALTSCHRANKBAU (eng: cabinet building industry). With this award, the magazine’s editorial staff honours hardware and software solutions as well as services that enable the control cabinet industry to remain competitive in an increasingly contested market.
The award is assigned for submissions that have been newly introduced to the market in the past year by an expert jury consisting of representatives of the cabinet building industry, teaching, and research as well as the trade press.
The initiative’s objective is to provide end-to-end solutions to the challenges of electrical cabinet building by networking the partners’ technology and expertise across all process steps.
By using the opportunities of the Digital Transformation, the partners of the Smart Cabinet Building Initiative are committed to helping control cabinet manufacturers optimize their production processes. Taking a holistic view of the individual aspects of the value-added process will enable significant increases in efficiency to be achieved.
Following on from the cancellation of the launch event at Hannover Messe 2020, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the partners launched a comprehensive webinar series covering topics and issues addressed by the initiative. To date, the webinar series has been watched live, or on-demand via zuken.com, by more than 1000 participants.
As part of this year’s Hannover Messe Digital 2021, the Smart Cabinet Building Initiative will be presented to an even wider audience as part of Weidmüller’s virtual trade fair stand and, additionally, as part of its own customer live stream on 6 and 7 May.
