Thanksgiving: A Time for Gratitude

Menu

As the golden leaves of autumn usher in shorter days and cooler temperatures, we realize it’s that very special time of the year again–Thanksgiving! Crisp fall vibes are all around us. From the rich aroma of pumpkin-spice-everything to the warmth of hearty recipes, cozy sweaters, and sweet family memories, it’s a time I look forward to each year.

Thanksgiving is so much more than a holiday; it’s a gentle reminder of the blessings we often overlook in the bustle of everyday life. It’s an opportunity to hit the pause button and reflect, taking time to appreciate what surrounds us, whether simple or abundant. Moreover, Thanksgiving brings a year of collected treasures into sharp focus.

A Patchwork of Gratitude

This year, to mark the season, we created a Thanksgiving quilt of sorts–a video quilt. We asked our team members to share what they’re thankful for, each contributing a patch to our quilt of gratitude. The end result is a beautiful and varied mosaic representing our shared journey through the year.

Practicing gratitude is not something to save for a seasonal tradition. When we embrace gratitude as a daily ritual, research shows it begets joy and well-being. Try to look at each new day as a fresh opportunity to give thanks for something or someone. Each expression of gratitude adds a new patch to the quilt.

Thanksgiving Promise

So, as we toast one another this Thanksgiving, let’s make a promise to ourselves–a promise to carry the essence of this day with us throughout the year. From my table to yours, I wish you a Thanksgiving filled with joy, love, and an abundance of reasons to be grateful. Cheers!
