On-demand webinar
Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) is typically defined as the ability of a product to function in its environment without introducing electromagnetic disturbance. The product must:
- Tolerate a specified degree of interference
- Not generate more than a specified amount of interference
- Be self-compatible
In this webinar we will examine options for performing a quick EMC analysis where no setup is required, and also more in-depth EMC analysis options that are driven by EMC properties assigned during schematic capture. The process to perform an EMC analysis will be demonstrated, with a subsequent review of the results. Methods for corrective action will also be demonstrated followed by verification of issue resolution. In the Zuken CR-8000 flow there is no need for intermediate files to interface with third party tools for EMC analysis. All EMC checks are conducted directly within the PCB Design tool, CR-8000 Design Force.
What you will learn:
- Design tips for achieving good EMC results
- Methods to mitigate EMC concerns
- How to specify compliance thresholds and set weightings
- How to check up to 36 different EMC rules including:
- Track shielding
- Return path track
- Decoupler placement
- Direction Shielding
Who should attend:
- PCB designers
- Electrical engineers
- Engineering managers.
